Incredible.

What's the story with those, Jon?

I'm guessing Earthquake, Tsunami or Magic damage.

Ohhh.
From the same gentleman whom I bought my 72 from.
By all accounts, Calgary must be a hotbed of Naim activity.

Mike asked:

It doesn't realy say how they ended up like this, except that they've been 'badly stored', and taken up moisture. The enclosures are cracked, the veneers coming away from the MDF, the spikes are rusted, the grilles are falling apart and the velcrove grill fasteners are shot.

Apparently they still work though.

However, "anyone with the skill and courage to repair the cabinets will have the pleasure of a well-balanced and easily matched speaker".

I'm tempted. Now, where's that superglue...

You know, I bet it's not all that improbable in Japan, land of legendary craftsmen. One passage I'll always remember from "Obasan" (required reading in high school) is that "Japanese carpenters have a different approach; their tools are designed pull with control rather than push with force" (paraphrased).
