Unlikely good al***s

Know when you come across something that you would instinctively avoid like the plague? My missus came out of Piccadilli Tower Records late one night after we had been having too much fun on the town (we have very good babysitters) with an armful of very dubious CD’s, among which was the new Lisa Marie Presley jobbie. My how I laughed (especially as I slipped a few in her pile & she paid for them without knowing Big Grin). But after having to hear it in the car a few times, I began to realise that this is a seriously great album, very bitter - but the real deal.
So….We all must have great albums that we play, but hide away for fear of embarrassment.
Own up you lot – what are they?

Hi Guys,

I'm a bit late to this thread but just enjoyed reading it thoroughly! (Beats working at this time in the morning!).

To Cut to the Chase...

Where on earth can I get a copy of Bob & Doug McKenzie's Great White North from these days? I can handle LP or CD but not 8-track or wax cylinder.

Another vote for Right Said Fred - you should hear Deeply Dippy thru a CDS3/552/300/SL2s!!

Have to Rush...

Rich.

Hello

This is my first post, so I hope it comes out OK.

I have to admit to enjoy the Sweet. They made some great music, Ballroom Blitz,
Blockbuster, Fox on The Run, Wig Wam bam, Teenage Rampage, Action, Hell Raiser, Little Willy etc.

Not high brow, but very enjoyable.

Andrew,

Good news for you

Watch out for the latest new thing, old Glam rock mixed in a new Techno, Shuffle fever way.

Only this evening I was listening to Ballroom Blitz by Jurgen Paape, on 'Speicher 1' compliation, on the Cologne Kompakt label.

A lot of the other tracks are paced like Rock'n'Roll Part 1 by Gary Glitter.
