My Mum made these

These are dolls shoes that my Mother made recently. That is a box of matches in the photo for scale.

At the moment she is making a miniature pair of DC skateboarding shoes about the same size as these - all for an exhibition of Jan McClean porcelain dolls. She has also made tiny Victorian high-heeled lace-up boots with about twenty tiny eyelets.

All done traditionally, with a last for each pair based on the porcelain doll's foot. She toured footwear factories years ago to learn shomaking methods and then miniaturised the process.

They will cost your cat plenty, I'm afraid...

(I think the completed dolls sell for several thousands of NZ dollars. Several days work in each pair.)

These DC girls skate/dance shoes are a first attempt - but they looked undersized on the doll and so another pair will be made oversized.
