Connecting SkyHD to NAC 252

Posted by: Asenna04 on 02 October 2008

I would like to connect my SkyHD box to the NAC 252 via the Optical output from the SkyHD box. I don't intend to have 5.1 Channel sound for now and just want to get the stereo sound from the Naim applification.

The complication is that I have already done the under carpet cabling between the TV unit (where the SKYHD is and the Fraim). I have an Optical cable as well as a Digital Coaxial.

What options do I have?

Can I get a convertor that can I get that will connect to the optical cable or Coaxial and output to a DIN to DIN cable or a 2 Phono to DIN cable that can connect to 252? Can I use the Unity Gain feature on the 252?

Thanks,

The convertor you need is called a DAC.

I have ordered the Beresford TC-7510. It seems to be getting great reviews.

Why don't you just use a DIN - 2 phono cable? What are the advantages of your chosen route?

Thanks
