Hooverphonic "Jackie Cane"

Hooverphonic is a great band, but this album is the worst ever. How could they go so wrong?!?

'Yes' can't remember the name of it (I never looked at it again) but a 'greatest hits' type thing. Pretentious, overblown, and devoid of any ideas or music.

I reckon mine's a coin toss between Suede's "Dog man star" (overblown, overhyped, and over here!) and T.A.T.U's album (wish someone told me the video was on the single as well - could have saved £7 - what a load of crap!).

This is interesting. Am I to understand that one out of every two cds you buy at retail are NOT shite when you get them home? Seriously, if I end up liking 1 of every 2 cds i buy (and I'm guessing its more like 1 of 3 or 4 in reality) I'm having a good day. I only have about 200 cds in my collection (my wife has another 200 or so, I'm guessing) but I KNOW I have bought at least 600 cds in my life.

Surely I am not alone on this.

Anyway, my worst had to be a Jamariquie something or other. Argh!!

The Gadd Gang

Steve Gadd, Anthony Jackson and Richard Tee - some of the greatest musicians on earth, sure. But the shite they were able to produce together just defies belief.

The disc was so incredibly bad and sounded so cheap that, to this day, it remains the only recording I had to eliminate physically after just one session.

Mad
Shania Twain: "Come on over" is the most irritating piece of crap IMHO as to demand prosecution for crimes against music. I bought it cheaply and was robbed! As repetitive & smug as her gut wrenching, self admiration videos. This CD is the perfect example of fame & riches without a shred of talent. An endlessly smug expression on her face is perfectly matched by her smug voice totally without expression or emotion. And her "signature" spoken clichés seemingly required on very damn (endless) number: Arghh!

Springbok Nude Girls Afterlifesatisfaction

While on a plane from NY to Jo'burg, the dude next to me convinced me that I needed to buy this album. It's f*cking awful- noisy industrial metal sounding crap. At least he recommended some great bars.
