Nait 5 - Rega Ear (Headphone Amplifier) - What is my problem ?

(If I've understood correctly) I don't think you want to be monitoring the tape. I use one with a 72, and I have the 72 set to 'normal' rather than 'mon'.

So i connect my Headphone Amplifier with the Tape output of nait 5 (i tried also Aux 1).

I understand but isn't ok.
When i connect Rega Ear directly on CD5, I have correct sound in headphone.
So I think the cable is good.
But when i change and connect on Nait 5 (Aux1) -> nothing...
Only a very very low when volome of Rega is on max.
Why ? Mistake...

If you are using the tape loop then you need a different lead than the one you would for a normal line input (i.e tuner) as you need the pin connections to be reversed. At the moment you will only have a conection in. The small amount of sound you have at the moment is just breakthrough.

You need to buy a din to 4 phono connectors style lead. Check this by plugging the CD into the Rega direct (turn the volume down 1st).

The cable is for connection IN.
I must change it. But it was very strange for me that direct plug between CD5 and Rega was OK.
But a retailer explains me today (and also the difference between "not directional cable" and "not directional connect" )

simon a raison : il faut ouvrir ta prise din, et souder les cables à l'opposé de la masse (au centre des 5 broches).

A Paris, Pascal chez Choukroun pourra te la faire en 5 minutes.
