New punk/indie injection

I've looked at the "Essential new albums of 2001" and the other lists -- some good new stuff is not being mentioned. Examples:

The Detachment Kit: They Raging/Quiet Army. New Chicago band. Driving, raw, and very good.

Explosions in the Sky: Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell The Truth Shall Live Forever. Texas Band, I saw them in Austin last year -- psycho live show. Some similarities with GYBE, but rather louder, to put it mildly. Consider upgrading your amp first.

Panthers: Are You Down. New NYC band. If you like Stooges, MC5, etc., (and if you don't, why are you looking at this post?) then check them out.

Juno: Future lived in Past Tense. Seattle act. Husker-Du-esqe, but no copy band and considerable talent. I'm still not sure what I think, but quite worth hearing.

The Shins: Oh, Inverted World. Poppy, almost an early Who sound. Pleasing if not overwhelming.

Enon: Believo. This record is a year or so old, but unfairly ignored. Highly eclectic sounds, very punchy/goovy and obviously influenced by bands like Les Savy Fav.

Anyone heard the new Ida album? I haven't been able to get it yet.

Other recent recomendations?
