Who's Next Deluxe Edition on vinyl

Posted by: Steve O on 14 May 2010

Hi guys,

I'm hoping one of you guys will be able to help me.
Today a new vinyl copy of "Who's Next - Deluxe Edition" arrived. However, on on opening the parcel I'm a tad confused.
The third LP of the three is on the "Decca" label while the first two are on the "Track" label. Two different record labels in the same set - this can't be right surely?

Normally I would let this go provided the vinyl was OK and the track listings were the same (which they are), but this LP has been bought as a 40th birthday present for a friend who collects vinyl, but rarely plays it. The last thing I want to do is hand the guy a turkey!

Is the different label thing standard or do I need to get it back to amazon pronto and get a replacement? The thing that makes me most suspicious is the album was not sealed. Maybe I got a copy that's been sent back before? Hope one of you guys can provide an answer soon.

Regards,
Steve.

Hi Steve,

Mine has a Decca label on the third LP too. I also have "Won't Get Fooled Again" on a 7 inch single which has a Decca label. I bought the single about 25 years ago.

I expect someone here will know the history of the labels...
