Best CD in the last year

Posted by: beak on 04 June 2005

Hi all
I'm trying to build a new cd collection to go with a renewed interest in all things musical.
Following recommendations on this and the "other" forum, I have just purchased Tom McCrae's album of the same name,
brilliant just brilliant.

Whats your best CD or LP purchase for the last year?

If it absolutely has to be just one-probably Josh Rouse 'Nashville'

Do you have Tom McRae 'Just Like Blood'? If so is the new one better?

would have to be Frank Black and the Catholics - Show me your tears

The guy's a genius and songs like "Goodbye Lorraine" and "Coastline" are just the sort of songs they don't write any more

Hi All
I have recently bought Tom Mccrae's latest album , its not as stripped back as earlier efforts he has added a few more strings etc but as per usual a very good album indeed. Another guy worth checking out if you dont have his stuff is Ben Christophers

I have been getting further and further into this. Great live at the festival hall.
