AV2 pops whistles and crackles

Help,
The AV2 recognises the signal input as the display shows input signal type. However all I get from the output is whistles pops and crackles. Connections are fine. Other Naim kit nac252 nap250 napv175 work great. Has anyone out there had a similar problem and if so what was the solution? Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated.

Is this heard on all speakers? i.e. 5.1/7.1
Is this the same regardless of input source type, i.e. analougue, SPDIF optical, SPDIF coax?
Is it volume dependant?
Are you running the front channels via the 252 in AV bypass mode (and is the issue specifically heard only via the preamp/front channels)?

Sir, the front channels are via the 252 av bypass mode and it is volume dependant. Volume at nil no sound. I only use coax and optical inputs and it is the same for both types. I have checked all connections, disconnected the whole system cleaned everything and reconnected correctly and no change in fault condition. The fault affects all five speakers. I have even checked the inside of the AV2 and all connections are good.
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my problem it is greatly appreciated.

Problem solved. Reset the AV2 to factory settings. Put into standby mode and turned off at the mains. Left it for 30mins. Turned mains on took it out of standby mode and completed the detailed set up. It now sings. Don't know why that worked or what caused it but am happy now.
Thanks for looking.

Now know what is wrong. Sent it to Naim and the report is that the mother board is knackered. A replacement including a full service is £920 OUCH!!! Got to have it fixed though. Lets hope it dosent happen again.
