Malaysian but currently in SG. No difference really.

What do you listen to?

I am new with Naim and in the midst of building my new system. (Finances is a big issue cos things are not cheap!) It is great to suddenly know so many people who are using it. I am getting a good picture of what Naim is all about. It feels like a family. Is cool.

I listen to...a lot of guys vocal, like unplugged stuff by Bryan Adams, Cat Stevens, some other singers like Tracy Chapman...and live singing.

Lately I learnt to listen to Jazz cos one of my friends in SG is a saxophonist playing life in Ritz there every Sat night. Learnt a lot of new taste from him.

David,

How much is the new 72?

Interested to know.

Kevin

Pop into the local distrib of Naim in PJ to listen and talk to the folks of Absolute. Find out what a new 72 cost from them.

FYI, it'll be expensive as there is a 37.5% gov tax on hi-fi which are considered luxury items.

90.3/72 or 140/72...

is usually considered to be "better" but in the end its up to your ears. Most would say its got better drive, more grunt and control, better dynamics and is smoother sounding.

Welcome to the club. and greetings from Singapore. If you want to know more about the Naim sound, my house is open to you. It is pretty modest system compared to the CDS/52/500/DBL from other forum members but the coffee in my house is up there with the best. Email me if you are interested.

Hi Guys,

Any of you guys or maybe someone you know selling a CD3.5 in Singapore? Please do let me know as I am looking for one.

We should get together one of these days... Naim users in SG. Not just to talk about Naim though...

Airness.. you're lucky/unlucky depending how you see it. I just sold my CD3.5 & FlatCap to Absolute Sound. If you're still interested drop me a line or ask for Vik at Absolute about the CD3.5 and FC in the demo now. It's setup with Nait5 on Fraim!

What is the 'dark substance' the Nait is missing?
I think we should be told.

Yes! I will be having my 72/140 soon, together with LS3/5a. Not a Naim CD player yet but really soon... anyway, can somebody recommend a good speaker stand for LS3/5a???

Hi to all fellow Naimiacs.
Does anybody know where in Spore or Malaysia kan I get open frame stands which kan be used for the Kans? The original ones would cost too much to buy/ship from overseas.
Thanks.

I dream of vinyl but the reality is the shiny disc

Still looking for Kan stands? I may have a pair of Kan stands somewhere. Let me know if you are still interested and I will look for them. They are the very first Kan stands, open frame.
