Footballers weddings

Posted by: Rasher on 15 June 2007

Looks as if we're going to be subjected to 4 chav royalty weddings this weekend.
This country really has dumbed down to rock bottom. Why do they have to have so much money, and what message is this sending out to all the kids; that success is getting in a supermarket magazine? Fuck me! Roll Eyes

I totally agree with that comment - but why are West Ham throwing silly money at average players?

The real problem with footballers wages are the fans who are prepared top pay whatever their club thinks they can afford to pay.

What do you expect them to do, turn down the huge sums of money they're being offered?

I'm sure that all of you turn down pay increases from your firms or extra business for the self-employed.

What a pathetic thread that just reeks of jealousy and snobbery.

This was a first division Scottish team.....the players were hardly earning the megabucks of the premiership but they were still on good money at the time. I think the average was about 4K a week.

Was his first club not St Johnstone? Might be wrong but it is a good idea.

chris , i agree with you
ratchit, of course anyone wouldnt turn down more money if offered-but in bents case the deal was done until by my sources he demanded a silly financial package! which to me results in sheer greed.

After all that I managed to avoid the news this weekend, so was spared the wedding reports. Were there any?
I bet there were some tanrums because of the rain. I was at a two-day wedding myself and did manage to sneek off for a while to watch the rugby.
