Glastonbury 2010 anyone.

Twenty years ago I would have been very dubious if you had told me the best performances and musicians would come from the rap bands at a Glastonbury festival, but from what I have seen of the coverage so far, go Dizzee.

I have never got Gorillaz, but even as a fan of prog rock, this sounds to me like a bad prog concept album performance. Lots of musicians, some story being told by projections, and great deal of portent, but very little performance and no tunes.

I thought what I saw of Dizzee Rascall was great, fun, character and some real stage presence. Snoop Dogg was OK too, but not quite so much fun as our home grown rap.

I liked a bit of what I heard of Willy Nelson, but I saw him at Glastonbury years ago and really enjoyed hearing some good songs and good musicians.

Disappointed by La Roux, I didn't think she moved to such a big stage, probably great in a club, but sounded strained and a little lost at Glastonbury.

I am probably reflecting on Glastonbury's when I saw bands I loved headlining, so am biased, but what do others think of this years performances and coverage?

I liked Vampire Weekend and Florence & the Machine, not keen on Gorillaz or La Roux - sorry I don't like Rap - listened to about 90 seconds of Snoop Dogg and couldn't stand any more. Missed Rolf Harris, which was a shame.

The BBC coverage is good, but I'm out of tune with many of the acts.

Tend to agree about the Pyramid Stage acts - there are a few I'll probably like: the Lightning Seeds, Ray Davies, Norah Jones - but not keen on Muse, Scissor Sisters, Stevie Wonder or Slash - Yeovil Town Band sounds a bit different.

I really didnt think the artists where as hot as previous years but on the whole a great weekend full of music, that always has to be good.
I enjoyed especially Jackson Browne,Christy Moore, Brian Kennedy, Judy Collins,Muse, hear cape see cape, and a fair number of others. Just about recovered.

Paul, I thought it was the hottest Glastonbury for years - over 30 degrees one day - and no rain.

I wished I'd seen the Christy Moore set (I'll search the BBC iPlayer) - he has to one of the most engaging of live acts - quite superb.
