Shawn Mullins - Any opinions/advice
Posted by: greeny on 03 May 2002
Just had my recapped Amps reinstalled by Audio Councel and One of the CD's we used for listening was
Shawn Mullins - Souls Core (I think)
I am totally unfamiliar with his work but what I heard 4 - 5 tracks was fab.
Does anyone have any opinions on this artist, Whats his best album(s)? Is Souls Core a good place to start?.

Souls Core is a fantastic album - not a duff track on there. On the back of this I've just ordered his latest and shall let you know what I think.
Have a look round HMW sales for it as I picked up for £6.99

Thanx Martin
Just bought this £4.99 in HMV Clearout, so hopefully I should like it.

Shauns latest album is superb too. A bit more commercial but nicely produced and great sin along tunes.
His past work is a bit more unusual - Eggshells is good. For an overview get his anthology - I think its called The Last Ten Years.

Fantastic Stuff, I'll be searching out other stuff as and when. I could certainly recomend Souls Core to anyone that likes this sort of music. i.e Male voice, mainly acoustic, some spoken word sections (not many), This is also a well recorded album.
