Hi is there any serious differences between the cd3 and cd3.5? Which is better?

hI 2Ace,
The CD3.5 is the better player IMO as it can be powered with an additional power supply i.e Flatcap or Hicap, which will power the analogue and digital circuits seperately.

From memory the 3.5 is smoother. The 3 being abit too gung ho.
and then there is the PSU option...
feels like deja vu round here...

3.5 is a great player with an added Hi-Cap.
It served me well for about 10 years.

3.5 is definitively better. But the big difference is the CD3 becomes difficult to service, transport is a problem. CD3.5 has a more recent mecanism and is still available from Naim.
