You must choose ONE of these three and say WHY...
Posted by: Consciousmess on 15 November 2008
As the title suggests, I will give you a list of 3 options and you must say which one you'd choose and why. After there have been 20 replies, I will debrief and give you my aims and hypothesis.....
1) Pull a cats tail
2) Put a lighter to a dolphin's fin
3) Slaughter a chicken with your bare hands
(I am not being sick or twisted, I just have a hypothesis I wish to test!!)
I look forward to your replies, and please follow the instructions in the first paragraph!!

Growing up we had a basset hound that was sweet but a little dim. I loved her big floppy ears and my favorite times were watching her wrestle with our dachshund. (we are small people, nothing against big dogs!) One memory of similar stubborn behavior - she would bolt out of the yard and run up the street and sit in the middle of a very busy street and stop traffic dead. Any stranger trying to coax this sweet, dumb harmless dog off the street would see her turn into a doggy mr. hyde with snarls and teeth. Only I could go retrieve her, with much embarassment. A very angry policeman brought her back one day, howling. I didnt know she got out. My gramma was baby sitting. I hid behind the door. "This your #$%& dog, lady?" "yes, but you neednt be so rude" she said. "well I am going to give you a ticket for disobeying leash laws. This dog was sitting in the middle of the road causing a disturbance" My gram quickly answered "you can try, but you are in Berkeley, and being Oakland police, it's not your ticket to write.." cue sweet smile. See we lived just over the city line. Police was speechless, he knew he was done for. Handed over the bassett as steam shot out his hears. Loved that gram. I have no idea why the dog did this. But I miss them both!

Whatever it was, at least the hens were clean.

Pull a cats tail, that seems like the least mean towards an animal.
My next door neighbors cat loves to have his tail tugged a bit...

They have not got a lot of meat on them, maybe they taste better than they look? Their owners seem to be "fuller figured".

I love it!!!
If there were to be a study that could be classified as satisfactory, my humble one here ticks all the boxes!!
I was only after around 20 comments, but postings well after the 'debriefing' (so to speak) is more than welcome.
As an addendum to what I previously said, I am conscious the forum is a diverse community of folk with different 'faith'. Faith in this context includes those who are perhaps Christian/Jewish/Muslim/Hindu or humanistic atheist/agnostic.
I know that is very very narrow as there have been an estimated 10000+ faiths over time.
I posted this thread to see what makes up morality, and yes I am aware of all the extraneous factors.
Simply my curiousity, that's all!!

no statistical breakdown?
Posted on: 24 November 2008 by Consciousmess
V. good point, Mike!! I'll break down the stats when I log on to the forum next time.
That is a true and proper debriefing.......
I reckon this therefore would require a conclusion being made.
