Wallshelf for LP12 - need advice
Posted by: jpk73 on 15 October 2001
I am looking for a wallshelf for my LP12. Any advice appreciated!
Best wishes from Jun
BTW: is the mana-Website down...?
Not being funny, but...why?
If it's to keep the turntable away from young
children there are other ways of doing this that
cost a lot less than a wall shelf.

My LP12 sits on a SolidSteel Rack, in a room with wooden floor. I need an aditional Rack because I have not enough space on the SolidSteel, so I thought to put the LP12 on a wallshelf - this would help also to minimize the movements if somebody walks in the room...

If you plan to sell one of them please let me know!

It is made of steel, like Mana.
My main support is QS Reference, and it is going to stay that way!
The Rega shelf will probably make way for a Referenced Mana wallshelf though, in the future.
It's always a nice day for it, have a good one

I wouldn't say that.

...err, would you care to translate that into the Queen's English?

No footfall problems with the wall shelfs but when the front door and a few other doors in the house were closed fairly hard it caused the record to skip a bit. The front door was about 20 feet from the wall shelf and on a different but adjoining wall. I finally moved the whole lot to a concrete floor in the basement.
I've been told a solid or load bearing wall is best for a wall shelf.
