Just thought you might like to know that Koln's finest have their first-ever DVD out on 24th November.
Called Can DVD it contains two DVD-v discs (containing the famous Cologne Free Concert film - that's the one with the juggler!; TV clips; various otheer bits of footage; and a short film made by Eno) and a DVD-a which contains 5.1 remixes of various classics.
Some of the visual material was released on the vid which came in Mute's 1998 Can Box, some has never been seen before.
Can't wait meself.

Until then, you could make do with the new Holgar Czukay & U-She LP and associated 12" - The New Millenium.
It has sequences very reminiscent of Can, and I think uses some samples of Can tracks.
[Kevin - Cologne's best? What about Air Liquide?]

Very fond of Air Liquide, but I just think Can are amazingly, timelessly, fantastically good.

PS Since we seem to have this thread to ourselves, have you heard anything about Throbbing Gristle reforming for a one-off festival next year?

Kevin,
Yes I have a lot of detail info about RE:TG.
It is around Easter next year, an event over a long weekend, in Caister I think, or another Butlins/Pontins
TG will play material reflecting thier current interests and each member's solo ventures will be given an airing to. Lots of other bands / attractions too. NO kids allowed.
Sounds great doesn't it?
The catch is...
You have a book a chalet for the whole event, starting at £500. Yes £500.
Admittedly this is for four people. You and three strangers sharing a room. I imagine waking up with something pierced that I don't want pierced!
From the activity on the mailing list I think it might already be over-subscribed.
But you never know, there might be a DVD or film of it?

I was told yesterday that TG have provisionally booked a second weekend, probably to double the takings, or from another perspective, to let twice as many people hear the music.
