Wacky Question of the day............

Does anybody know whether the matrix decoding system as used in the Naim AV1 works with ye olde worlde SQ/QS matrix from the Quadraphonic era?

Any AV1 owners kept their machine despite the onslaught of Dolby/DTS (not to mention the AV2)?
