Estate Agents - what are they good for?

Posted by: Sniper on 13 April 2010

They walk into the bathroom and say 'this is the bathroom'. They walk into the kitchen and they say 'this is the kitchen'. They all seem to possess that cocky can do attitude and spiky gelled hair. I would definately dump em in room 101. Why do we pay em so much? What are they really good for?

Robbers.

They work for the seller not the buyer, not much else to say.

Here in Aus,

3% and then they add their costs and advertising .

So they can retire after selling one decent 10 million dollar house here in Sydney.

Even this is dabateable having just just sold and bought!

They are the lowest form of life! If you want anything pushed along it is up to you. My house sold on it's first viewing after 5 days and i showed the couple round and at the the end i paid the the 2.5% for the pleasure of it.

Is there a qualification you can take to be an estate agent? It's obvious to me the only thing you have to be competant at is being completely useless.

Don't even start on HIP's....

Chaps

No one is forcing you to use them and did any of you negotiate the terms before agreeing to contract with them.

If you don't like them, don't use them and then prices would soon drop.

rightwing

I negotiated 3/4% with mine when I sold one of my buy to lets in 2007. Also I made it clear, no sale, no fee.

I have checked up on this. Aparently you have to fail at being a traffic warden, you need to be born out of wedlock and you need spikey gelled hair.

and you tell people you can predict the property market
Posted on: 14 April 2010 by Sniper
No Dear Mick, I have never told anyone I can predict the property market. If you wish to present proof of your claim I will buy you a new caravan complete with a framed photo of Maggie on the wall, a chandelier and two chintz arm chairs for you and Mrs.Mick. I predict you feel quite at home.
