Muchachos

Having just been reduced to near tears by a "best of" type compilation of this stunning singer, what would be the best works to explore? And is there any concert footage on video?

Interestingly, Paul Whitehouse on Desert Island Discs this morning chose a snippet from Tosca - wow. Even better than The Ramones.

She did Norma by Bellini 2 times. First is a more perfect voice and higher price. Second time the producer heard she was going to retire thought her less perfect voice, but greater life experience, would be worth a go in the studio. I bought the second on EMI and it is really wonderful CD. She also has a better supporting cast and recording techique. A friend who was apssionate about her said "She can take it to the edge and go mad like no other".
