CDX deal is ON again !

Posted by: Alco on 20 September 2001

Howdy folks,

As some of you might remember:
The plan was that I'd get me a 1,2 year old CDX delivered, just two days ago.
Well, that deal is off. The owner of that particular CDX decided at the last moment to keep it for a while. Bummer, but O,well...life goes on.

But, today the same dealer called to tell me that they still have another CDX,which is even newer (about 11 months)
Now, the guy who first wanted to buy this player already did a payment for about 50% to make sure nobody else would be first.
but the salesman told me that he started some weird story on the phone, this morning, about his wife....she found out...the price of the CDX....So,he had to call off the deal again.
Bummer for him!!!

Haha,lucky for me !,I'm "young",free & single,so:

After tomorrow I'll have my CDX! and for the same price as the older one.

I can hardly wait.

Greetings,
Alco

That is good news! Make sure you let us know what you think of it once it's bedded down in your own system.

Yep,you got that right,Rene.

The bothering of CDX or LP12 or P3 or whatever has finally come to an end.
I'm sure there will be some folks who think that the LP12 is better, but in my case I also guess that the money is well/better spent on a CDX.

to Mike:
I'll bring out my CDX report A.S.A.P.

Alco

I didn't want to start my own thread, so just sneaking in a little mention of the fact that last weekend I finally replaced my aging California Audio Labs Tercet with a fairly new CD 3.5/FlatCap. I waited this long because I don't listen to CD nearly as much as to LP, but I must say that I've never heard digital sound so good. It's so involving, I can't believe it. Doesn't better the LP-12 of course, but damn good.

You prefer a CDX upon a wife ?

I have to tell you few facts -

A cdx doesn't wash dish.
A cdx doesn't wash the floor.
A cdx doesn't make you meals.
A cdx doesn't scratch your back.
A cdx will not scream at you "where have you been" when you are coming home late after a hard day at work.
You can go to bed with a cdx but I'm not sure you'll enjoy it.
A cdx will not try to teach you how to drive.
You will not have to tell a cdx how beautiful it is.
A cdx doesn't buy clothes.
A cdx will stop talking when you'll put it to "off".

Don't you think a wife is a better deal ?

Arye,

A CDX doesn't sue your arse off if you stray and buy a CDS2. wink

My wife sounds more or less the same regardless of what I'm doing with the remote control.

Andrew ,

You too have an expirience with a wife who sues you ?
I'm not alone with this ?

The thought of how many CDX's I could buy instead of paying to a lawyers ...

Arye

PS Alco,
A cdx will encourage you to add a PSX...
