Anyone seen George Benson live?

Posted by: Sicey on 25 November 2005

I notice on one of my concert email flyers he will be playing at the Royal Albert Hall next year.
One thing I notice is that the tickets are bloody pricey, £46 Eek
Is he worth a look? I only have his greatest hits album from a few years back which I do like quite a lot so I thought why not try him out at such a good venue.

Regards,

John

Never seen him live but I would be booking my ticket now if I could. I imagine they will go pretty quickly, the last 2 concerts at RAH (2003? could be wrong) were sell outs.

Bloody hell; GB must be getting on a bit.

I've always liked 'Breezin' - I must dig it out.

I saw him in 1982 at the Brighton Exhibition centre.Very polished performance and almost everyone was standing up dancing by the end of the concert:great sound and played lots of his then "old stuff"

We saw him at the Royal Albert Hall last year. To be honest, I wasn't expecting a lot but he was brilliant. His band was first class and the drummer unbelievable.

We've already booked tickets for next year.
