Has anybody tried AktiMate Speakers ?

Hi,

A) Has anybody tried and with what results ?

B) Can you use a Airport Express with the usb slot in the rear of these speakers?

a - no

b - The USB slot on the AE is printer only so not a lot else you can do with it (which is a bit of a pain)

Sorry a bit of a misuderstanding usb on the rear of the speakers (As the Audioengine A5 speakers)

Ah ok - isn't the USB socket just for charging other players etc that dont fit in the dock on top of the speaker (ie non ipod). It won't power an AE.

Might have a look a the Audioengine A5s then
thats seems to work with the airport

The A5 has a AC socket on the back so the AE plugs straight in as it would do into a normal mains socket - quite a neat idea for a compact streaming solution.

Thats exactly what i'm trying to achieve, I see they picked up a what hifi 5 star award..

Might give them ago, seem good value for money
