Quadraspire QK and QKAV Cabinets

Has anyone had any experience with the Quadraspire QK and QKAV cabinets? These are the ones with glass shelves and lockable glass doors. Is one better than the other? Would they be any better or worse than the Lack tables I am currently using?

While I would like to get Q4 shelves a locking cabinet will be safer with our 11 month daughter and her little friends. Does anyone have any other - reasonobly priced, remember I am a new parent! - alternatives?

Sounds like wall shelves might be a good idea. We just bought a heritage house with 110 year old plaster walls so I am not going to risk it.

I did a search and someone reported that the Quardaspire AV cabinet sells for 900 pounds! Any one no of any reasonable options that wouldn't sound any worse than the Lack tables I currently use? Maybe Ikea makes something that would work. I need something fairly low - up to about the height of a Lack table - to fit below a window.
