I really have to make some better pictures, it looks a bit messy on this one, but you're right, there are quite some right angles.
The dinosaur is a wooden model. As a child I had a small wooden model of a Tyranosaurus Rex which I really loved, so when I saw this huge one, I just had to have it!
As for the tiled floor, certainly not our choice, but quite practical. I would definitively prefer a waxed, natural oak floor with floor heating! So, it sounds like a no brainer to me.
