NAIM 110 ON/OFF Switch

Posted by: seamus88 on 09 November 2003

Hello all,

I've learned of a 110 that has a permanently soldered on/off switch. First, is this common practice? Second, is it possible to replace the switch? Third, if it is possible to replace the switch what would be the potential costs?

Thanks, S

This is a non-issue. naim should be able to supply you with a new switch (for very little $$$) and you should be able to solder it in correctly. I saw this advert as well. Obviously the main switch was broken, and so the previous previous owner simply bypassed it.

Thank you for the response. I appreciate the comments.

I had wondered if the previous owner bypassed the switch to ensure the amp was never turned off. I will contact NAIM to purchase a new switch.

Thanks, Seamus

I had to do this as well - the on/off switch died, and I put in a direct replacement.

Obviously a commonish problem...

Hello all,

Thanks for the many responses.

I've contacted Naim to learn that a replacement switch is available for the modest sum of US$15.00.

I will contract a local shop to order and install the switch.

Cheers, Seamus
