David Bowie -At the Tower Philadelphia

This has just been released on CD and supposedly includes 2 new tracks... However, I know that there are actually 3 new tracks (Here Today, Gone Tomorrow; Space Oddity and Time) compared to the vinyl version I have.

Is it me, or has someone from EMI not done their homework...

In any event, I still rate this as one of best albums - good production and some stonking guitar work.

I got that and sound quality is not a patch on the ryko version(out of print)

It's interesting you should say that. I received both this and 'Stage' yesterday and , although I've only had a brief listen so far, I would agree that the Ryko versions are a lot better.

Also, I would swear that the actual performances on David Life are different to my Ryko version (and the original vinyl). The Sweet Thing / Candidate medley in particular seems to have a different vocal.

Also (2) Why is 'Stage' copy protected and in a plastic outer sleeve, whilst 'David Live' isn't copy protected and doesn't have a plastic sleeve (they are both digipacks)?

Curious...

RYKO - I have not come across this, what is it? - Is it another manufacturer of CDs/Vinyl? Why are their disks so much better?
