Yet another high scoring game for QPR, this time a 3-2 away win at Luton.

Goals for now 29, goals against 30...in only 17 matches.

At least we do better in England than when we play against those scottish teams though, eh Mr Fritz!

And commiserations to the Hammers too.

Been working away for a few weeks and deprived on listening to my system, but I was determined not to deprived of the main event when Saturday came. A round trip of 1000 miles, I probably need my head examined. Now England's rugby team lost to Argentina, but they would not have done had they had Town's Matt Richards in their ranks, his uncanny ability to get in on the far post, unmarked a few yards out from goal and blast over the bar still amazes me. Approach work good, finishing horrible - my verdict. Wednesday are a lively side, if a bit aggressive, they do have lots of pace, but really we should never have lost to them.

So we are now on the same points as Rangers - another great win for them with plenty of goals. The best way to overcome the defensive problems you identified, Mark - outscore the opposition.

It was Mark Noble's fare well too. I'm sure he'll fit back in at West Ham. It is a shame the Hammers are not at the other end of the table, as then they may have let us keep him - he'll be missed. West Ham are mirroring Ipswich of few seasons back - promoted through play offs, qualify for Europe, get in a few foreign stars for the new campaign and have a relegation battle. We lost it, I hope the Hammers win it and stay-up (I think they will) - any team that loans us a player as bright as Mark Noble is all right by me.

rotf,
thanks for that and i truly believe we can stay up but it defies all logic when you beat the arse one week then lose to middlebum the next !
but then again thats the hammers all over.
wouldnt surprise me if they went and got something at the bridge next week. been following them for over 35 yrs and still cant suss em out!!
i think ipswich will be knocking on the play-off door towards the end of the season.
i hope noble gets back in the team now as i rate him and ipswich did us a favour really by giving him 1st team football every week which is not what was happening at upton park.
cheers , scotty
ITS A FUNNY OLD GAME!

You could do worse than watch a Rangers game at the moment ROTF, certainly for entertainment. The problem is we sold Danny Shittu to Watford and we haven't found anyone as solid at the back.

I hope you get back to winning ways soon and maybe March 3rd will be a mid-table clash (where we will hopefully gain revenge).

Watching you lot stick one up the arse last week was one of the highlights of the season so far for me. I hope the Hammers sort themselves out soon. I like Pardew and I like West Ham. They have a tradition of playing good football and have brought a huge number of excellent youngsters into the game.

Never mind all this talk of the Hammers and them Tractor Boys. The real question that ALL footballs should be asking is, should Rafa be playing Stevie G in the middle or not?
Posted on: 13 November 2006 by scottyhammer
rackkit,
in my and most peoples minds he is most effective in the middle where he can bomb forward to open up defenses for the forwards.
watching the game on sunday liverpool were inaffective going forward and therefore made the arse game plan simple. break quickly from defence/midfield. even two defenders who should not have been so far forward made scoring look easy. got to be honest pool are a very average looking side especially away from anfield.
no doubt more money will be thrown at the problem in january.

Half time: Cardiff 0-0 QPR

Live on Sky Sports 1

Rangers have been the better team so far. They've certainly had the better chances, but amazingly with these two teams no goals so far.

Let's hope that defensive slip ups don't cost us the game in the second half.

A great result for QPR - well deserved too.

What a result! How did you know that ROTF?

Cardiff 0-1 QPR.

A bit more of a circumspect performance in the second half with more from Cardiff coming forward. A smash and grab effort with the winner in the 84th minute. And we kept a clean sheet away to the league leaders!

Who'd have thought it?

I'm thinking more of the timing of your post - surely before the end of the game?

Re QPR's result tonight ...this division never ceases to amaze me ..a cliche' maybe but everyone does beat everyone in this league!
..By all accounts we Mackems should be too far behind to think about going up ("gannin' up" as we would say) and yet we're in with a chance of going either way(!)
....and is this the point when Cardiff finally blow up?

Sunderland host Colchester tomorrow (a team we've never played before apparently) and literally ANYTHING could happen ....roll on January when we can spend loads of our newly found moolah!

Radio 5 LIve commentary said and Rangers have snatched it right at the death. The commentary also gave the impression Cardiff would never score against the tight well organised Ranger defence. Seems like you're on the up.

I hope the Tractor Boys can put one (prefereably a lot more than one) past those budgies tomorrow. It's true any one can beat anybody in the Championship, but why do unfancied teams always have to demonstrate that against us. I'm settling for mid-table. The return of Billy Clarke could make a difference though.

Come on the Tractor Boys. I've never forgiven that yellow lot for 1976.

Pompey - third in the table Eek
Posted on: 21 November 2006 by scottyhammer
well its finally happened - west ham united have been taken over by the icelandics.
only time will tell i suppose if its a good or bad move ! but must be truthful i cant see any bad points as yet. not sure if pardew is the right man for the job but at least he should now have some transfer money for january.
its certainly an historic day for the club ive supported since a kid - just hope the traditions and family club mentality of west ham remain.

With all those new signings and an ensuing march up the table, I guess you won't have a place for Mark Noble after all, can we have him, please?

I think it is great news that West Ham have come out of this with investors who care about football - all I heard about their plans on the news sounded very positive: especially about funds to encourage the development of young players.

You also have a top class centre forward on the way back, so things are really looking up.
