Posted by: niceguy235uk on 13 December 2005
Does anyone have any recommendations on a good cd burning software programme?
i used to use roxio on my old pc but for some reason wont work on my new one.
Plus it also needs to include software so that i can burn my vinyl on to disc too.
Cheers!!!

Not for proper computers then?

Once you've connected you Mac to your turntable with one of these
and one of these
then you just need to use this free software - Final Vinyl 1.1.2 for OS X .
It's easy with a Mac (no phono pre-amp required).
For a PC I recommend one of these.

That's very interesting - so when is RIAA equalisation applied, is it part of Finyl Vinyl?
You'd get far better results using a decent phono pre-pre stage b4 going into your PC/Mac!

Yes the RIAA equalisation is done in software by Final Vinyl - it is quite good too. I prefer recordings made through my Rega Fono into the Yamaha CD1300 HD recorder, but it is close, much closer than I expected.

Try this,

it's free and very good. Much better than Roxio, in that it actually works! I was so pleased with it that I paypal'd them $15!

AMIGA - well done for that mention - I recommend the las t 2 versions of Cloanto software which I bought/use for e.g. playing best computer games made on (IBM clone)PC emulating Amiga.
Once 'Roxio' and predecessors was what I bought for CD etc creation, but for over 2 years I have preferred NERO for all DVD-CD related burning etc.
There are plenty of 'free' burners, including hamstrung Windows Media versions/iTunes etc etc etc, but I prefer what I buy, as I get used to using it/variables and so on.
