So nothing wrong with my memory, despite the hilarious cartoon above.

There was / is a "backup" thread, so nothing wrong with my memory.

I've said I used the Search function, which did not produce a result.

The cartoon remains hilarious. Really.

I have found the search engine is not perfect [or so experience has shown] until the topic is closed.

Perhaps it is only a rough correlation as perhaps it has more to do with the periodic backing up, and that a null-result is because the thing is not somehow completely cogged into the permanent[ish!] record!

I don't know, because on other times it works well soon after a post has been made.

Sending in posts which contain just a pic or just a smiley is about as low down the pecking order you can get when it comes to contributing to a forum discussion.
