Brompton story

For those who share my view that Naim hifi and Brompton folding bikes are the only truly essential things in life, David Henshaw's new little book on Brompton might be of interest. Lots of detail about Julian V's crucial backing and guidance when B was starting production and a number of groovy photos of JV modelling bikes.
cheers

I ordered a copy from Amazon some time ago, but it hasn't arrived yet.

I could agree that replayed music is an essential in my life, but the replay method is definately less important IMV than the music, per se.
As regards the Brompton, give me my lovely old Carlton any day.

Interesting John, thanks. Wonderful bikes - had one for years, use it daily and wouldn't be without it. Like Naim - just get the basics right from the start then refine / improve slowly. For both I guess the loyal customer base is a big asset. Plus if you're lucky you get to compete the Brompton World Championships.
They're sensitive to tyre choice (setup, hmmm...) - I just got a new Schwalbe Kojak for the rear which rolls really well.
Nice,
Ian
