Tonal balance of Beatles recordings

I have just finished listening to Magical Mystery Tour and the White Album, after a few years since last listening to them.

Man, they sounded cold. Bass light too. The sound of Ringo's snare drum seemed especially etched and bleached.

Has anyone reached the same conclusion? Or is it just me?

I'll bet you several items of Naim equipment that they start issuing remasters of the Beatles CDs pretty soon.

Coming to a NAIM system near you.

Neil Aspinall in a Fox News interview said the 13 core albums have been remastered and will be released. Also, Aspinall said the ENTIRE catalogue will be available as downloads, which obviously is more than the 13 core albums. So expect them anytime now.
