Hi Paul,
I thought that - with the new DTC - it would be possible to add missing cover art manually. I couldn't find it anywhere in the manual

Do a right-click on an album, view its properties and in the bottom right of the window is the option to upload new cover art...
That should be what you need.

Hello! First,sorry for my bad write english! Please,i need help with my HDX ! I own'it from may 2009 , and i ripp'd on HD, 640 albums, but durring this time,i have manny problems with old soft (was imposible to acces a lot of album from the HD). I was verry happy when my dealer send me the original upgrade 1.5a from Naim . With 9 day's ago , i realise the upgrade exactly like in instruction from the first disc(1of4). Everithing goes fine with 2of4 and 3of4 discs ( everry time i cheked System Version ), but when i put the last and most important disc,(4of4),with 1.5a upgrade, i'l wait 4 hours ,on the external display (my plasma), appears home menu and after few seconds everithing was closed , but on the HDX remain stil Please Wait!!! I don't take no action , and i wait another 9 or 10 hours , meanwhile i put my ears on the top , but i can hear annything , like the HDX was dead . I called immediately my dealer,and he tell me to stop completely the Hdx from the back. After i'll stop'it, i'll wait 15 min. and i'll start up the HDX , and i was happy to see everithing goes fine. Most important:i cheked immediately System Status , and i see the right Overall System is 1.5a !!! I start to play from the Hd , no problems , but when i put cd's , problems with remote control , some commands didn't responde( fast forward or rewind not work , skip to next trak), only when i playing Cd's, repeat, but in rest i didn't notice no difference with old soft! When i try to play some music with Desktop Client from my laptop , when i give play, apear on the screen ,,Error loading trak...etc.'' ! With the next day it starts the surprises! First, i noticed , day after day, the overall sound ( most when i play from the HD )was in permanent transformation , not something radical, but in good way , from the first 5 day . When i turn on my HDX in the sixth day (from standby), a few bad surprises wait for me:first, all the cover art of all 640 albums was dissapear , or the new soft don't let me too see the cover of any album (in place of cover it display a big black cercle with NAIM in the middle).I'll try to rip again few albums , and the cover art was there , ok , but next day ,when i turn on HDX ,was the same with the rest:no cover art !! Second bad thing who wait for me , was a dramatic transformation of sound, who my HDX displayd in my years . After my taste, the sound becames metallic, with an extrem resolution and a verry huge ,soft bass and loose ritm and timming!!! After that ,i was verry nervous and i call urgent my dealer , and he tell me to make again the last upgrade 1.5a (disc 4of4). I'll do'it , but my HDX , after he reed the 4of4 disc , he stay few seconds , and put the Home Menu on display , which means he refuse to overwrite the upgrade again !!! S.O.S !!! Please somebody help me !!! If it's possible , whithout make me to send the HDX to NAIM in U.K.!!! THANK YOU VERRY MUCH

Hello, Klout10 ! The sound it's o.k. now (i changed the powercord with an verry good AC 12 from PS Audio,and the sound it's much better than before )but the rest it's the same !!! The remote control still doesn't work with cd's (when i play from HD it works fine )and i stiil cannot see the cover art when i play an album from HD ( and i have 640 )!!! The old Desktop Client it have some problems ( don't let me to control the player ), and when i try to install the new Desktop Client, i can't !!! Maybe i must uninnstall the old one, i don't now ? If you can give me some advice , you're wellcome !!! Thank you, verry much !

I have an good friend who have HDX, and after he install the 1.5a software,he have the same problems with remote control ! It's possible to be an general disfunction ???

Hi teofill,
I can't comment on the new software since my HDX is away for it's update right now! I've used the remote on a regular basis, but never when playing CDs directly. Regarding the DTC, you have to uninstall the old version before installation of the new one.
Why not contact the dealer who sold the HDX to you or maybe Naim directly. They must be able to help you.
When I've got my HDX back, I'll let you know!

Hello, Klout10! Thank you for your aswer,i will try with new DTC, maybe today ! I am in permanent contact with my dealer, but he waiting an answer from NAIM ( he ask about this problems, oficial, from about 10 days). Wi'll keep'in touch, thank's again , by !!!

The Naim Audio website has just had its format changed and the downloads area is still being migrated over - it should be resolved again over the next few days (all being well).

No - Harry was referring to the link at the top of the page - that link is to our download area which is being migrated to a new server at the moment and so the link currently doesn't work and instead gives a 500 error...

Firstly can I once again ask all reading this that any support requests are emailed to me (for any NaimNet and HDX / NS0x related queries) or to Steve Hopkins for any other queries then they can be dealt with far more effectively - otherwise requests such as this which are buried inside an older posting can go unnoticed for a while.
Right, now down to the problem in hand - whenever there is an issue with an HDX the important information that we need to progress the solution is generally obtained by taking a feed from one of the rear panel outputs (VGA, s-video or composite) into a TV or monitor and seeing what is displayed on there ... the front panel does not really give us any useful information to diagnose with.
Firstly - if you are using the "old" 1.4b version of Desktop Client then that will not work with 1.5a ... you should uninstall the old version and install the new version from the first of the update CDs ... if you have any issues installing the Desktop Client Software from the CD then we need to know what the problems are so that we can try to find out a solution for you - there are no general issues with doing this that we are aware of.
I would suspect that there is a problem - possibly with your IP address settings on the unit - if you are not getting cover art for your CDs ... again if you contact me directly (my details are in the sticky at the top of the forum) then we can progress your issue.
