Maybe something for Hi-Fi World. Imagine that, Angry from Lowestoft writing in "With your inane tonearm you have ruined my prized Decca London 1957 recording of Norbert's Symphony in Waltzes, I shall waggle my finger at you some more! And whatsmore, I must complain about your increasing coverage of AV equipment, it really must stop."

Watch out though, Shun Mook will make a pure African Ebony version and sell it for $1500 - $2000 for a version with titanium metal parts.

Cheers

Keith.

Certainly an interesting concept; my great fears are:

  • How compatible it is with Mana?
  • Can hot glue be substituted for zip ties?

Dear Dr. Exotica,

It does not matter what you are resting on a Mana rack; everything will sound great on it.

I'm sure that this wooden TT on a Mana rack will sound much better than a LP12/Arrow/geddon/troika
on a QS (for example).

If you don't believe me, go and ask in the Mana forum...

I liked this remark:

"I was surprised about the sound, which is very natural. This, I suppose, is because the arm is made of wood."

So the sound is natural, because the wood is natural. Hmmm.

Hi,

under http://www.Schroeder-tonarme.de you can see a lot of pics and also the Hifi+ test review of a current production wooden unipivot, and at
http://www.garrard501.com under skeletal design you can even see the Schroeder guy himself in front of a Garrard 301 equipped with his tonearm.

Hartmut from Munich
