Forum Rugby Club - 2009-2010 Season
Posted by: JWM on 10 July 2009
Well it's just about mid-July; the Lions have been, been cheated, and gone; so it must be time to start thinking about the new season.
Lots of new faces in most GP clubs, plus of course Leeds now. (Cockers running Leicester, Deano running Quins, Backie running Leeds - these Tigers get everywhere!
) And of course Tigers are looking forward to giving out the usual mauling, but this season with a brilliant new stand and a new home kit (to be launched on 24th July). Sorry Sharlene, I'm spending my clothing allowance on that, not some bloomin' Naim T-shirt...!

Where the f--- has this come from?!?!?!?!?
If you're not watching the England game, stick the 2nd half on!!!
I haven't seen England play like this in Donkeys.

Very exciting coverage on BBC Radio 5 Live!
We WON!
Yippee!
(Lateral thinking - Why don't the BBC make Ian Robertson their TV commentator, so much better than their current clowns.)

Great game from England today. I don't agree that it is the best they have played under Johnson as they played just as well if not slightly better against France in the Six Nations last year, but it is the best in a long time.
It certainly underlines what we have been saying, that England do have these performances in them as they have the players - it's just that they happen all too rarely these days. We'll just have to see if they can reproduce this.
All that said, I thought it was the East Midland players that made the difference and (chokes as he says this) more than a few Tigers!
Ben Youngs, Toby Flood, Tom Croft, Dan Cole, Courtney Lawes, Ben Foden and Chris Ashton all bring different dimensions to England's game and played with a freedom from fear we don't often see in either of the national football or rugby sides.
Please let this not be another false dawn!

it seems that immigration are trying to deport Manu Tuilangi even though he has been schooled here in Hinckley for six years and his family now live here as well, i bet if he was another ethnic miority and partial to bomb making he would have a council house by now and a social security cheque every month

Still watching the England v N.Z Maori game that i recorded and although we lost i thought it was a pretty good game all in all for saying that was our b team, i noted that Care seemed to have a rocket up his arse [ i should think that Ben Youngs has him on the ropes ]

I was more or less forced to watch the soccer match by the mrs this afternoon and boy o boy it enforces my view that soccer players are over paid and under worked. They were/are a dismal shower of shit and now the debate has started about Capello's future, surely it should be the players future ?????. The rugbys refs and the system certainly make soccer look amateur beyond belief.
