More noises on AV2

Posted by: MorriAG on 08 August 2010

I too have recently started getting clicking noises on my speakers from my AV2. I get no noise from any other output of my NAC52 and I have tried changing the output plug from the AV2 to another input on the NAC52 but the noise persists.
I have tried all of the source outputs on the AV2 but the noise persists on all, this suggests to me that it is not an input into the AV2 that is causing a problem.
I have taken the din plug at the AV2 end (output to NAC52) apart and all looks well. I have also looked at the NAC52 plug end and all looks well there too.
I have taken the mains plug in and out a few times on the AV2 but noise persists.
The noise sounds like the static clicking one hears when playing an LP.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi,
I don't own an AV2,but i had the same clicking sounds through my speakers when playing CDs or Vinyl?
The cause was due to having a unused Hydra lead which was picking up RFI - Put the Hydra lead back into use and the clicking stopped.
This may or may not help.

Unfortunately the prolem has now gone critical in all digital inputs on the AV2. Horrible noise across all digital inputs. Local dealer has been round and decision is back to Naim for some TLC. Fingers crossed as I am not sure what I would do without it?
