If the cap fits??

Hi all ,happy new year

I've got a hi-cap on the way (xdem),and I'm a little nervous on the old question of sticking what? where? I presume to remove link plug from 72 and then insert cap into said hole but i'ts what to do with the cable from the 72 to 180 thats got me stumped(leave or move to another hole)?
Secondly for those with anymore spare time...
at what point does a prefix become worth the £££'s ?

thx for taking the time y'all

Mike,

Yes, remove the link pin and stick the 5 pin SNAIC from the Hicap in there.

The 4 pin SNAIC currently from the 72 to the 180 should instead connect the Hicap to the 180.

So the signal goes from the 72 to the Hicap and then to the 180. The 5 pin SNAIC between the 72 and the Hicap will also provide the power to the 72, of course.

The connections manual can be downloaded from the Naim website if a diagram's required. The 72 isn't included but the principal will be identical. Or I can e-mail it to you.....

Enjoy the Hicap!

Stevo.
