110 Questions

Hi,

I have a system which comprises a Rotel CDP, 32.5/110 and AE1s (all on Hutter). I'd like to improve it a bit. Most people agree that a 140's better than a 110 (although I see it more as a presentation thing), but can either drive a pair of AE1s properly? If not, could a 180 or is HC/250 the minimum requirement?

Your Rotel CDP is your weakest link. Try a Naim CDP.

Alex, I though you were happy with your set up?

Gary, this is my other setup.

I agree the CDP may be weak but my main problem is finding minimum amplifier requirements for driving AE1s - A Hi-Cap would help but would it be enough?

Whether its enough or not, a HiCap is essential here as a priority

Alex,

You may be interested to know that for about 40% more than the cost of a full service on your NAP110 we can upgrade the amplifier to a NAP140.
