Do you standby or do you leave all the way on?

Hi All,

I know that keeping your Naim kit warmed up is key, but does keeping it on stand-by count? I have been leaving the N-Vi switched on all the time but it means that when we switch the TV on it defaults to the N-vi logo (its driving the wife mad. Does anyone see any difference between stand-by and fully on?

Mine's a DAB unit - I freely admit to leaving it on standby during the day, or if I'm out in the evening... but have set the alarm feature to fire it up about 45mins before I get home - partly as a security feature, and partly so that it's up to temperature by the time I may wish to use it of an evening.

This works well for me, and I can (under these circumstances) discern no problems.
