When I get depressed (i.e. most Saturday afternoons when I see inept performances against Stoke and Brighton) I just remember the old adage that there is nothing better in life than writing on the sole of your slipper with a Biro on a Saturday Night instead of going to a pub.

eduction? I think Seldon's initiative is a jolly good idea. He did not introduce a similar scheme when he was head at Brighton College so maybe Wellington is full of depressed children. I think having Will Young as a former pupil is enough to depress any school.

Very good initiative. A few basic skills could make a big difference here.
