Shannon matthews found

I really, really was not expecting this one. Was expecting news of a body but not her turning up alive. That poor little girl must be so traumatised.

I saw that on the BBC website - just wonderful news for her and her parents.

It's not often that they end this way after 3+ weeks.

Let us hope that things turn out well for Shannon. She is the one for whom we should feel concerned.

When the whole story is out, I will feel for the others but I think that this story just might be a complex one.

I think you are right Ken,this is a complex family and very unlike the McCann's. At least for now she is safe.

I hope she is going to be OK. How much her head has been messed god knows.

I hadn't heard until I read this thread. This is news beyond all previous hope.

Marvellous news!

According to a text I got earlier, she has not been seen for three weeks because she was playing up front for the Toon!

In these days of doom and gloom I found it a genuine lift and emotional.

Further news coming out shows that the police were right to consider it a 'family' issue.

The perp appears to have been Step fathers uncle. My detective wife was correct in her assertion that it was likely to be family.

The local police are probably stringing him up by his testimonials at this very moment...

he certainly won't be popular once he is sentenced and in real prison (if as seems likely he is guilty)

Fantastic and unexpected news.

I've heard the Portugese police have now gone back to the McCanns' villa to look under the bed!

I think this is probably a bit deeper than a simple cut and dried as a lot of you seem to think.

Your wife is a detective, and you could not work out where that cd came from last year Winker

Not a 'real' detective. Hey she's the brains in the outfit. My detective skills in regards Swedish singers could be compared to.........................................
