Dedicated spur tripped
Posted by: HarryJames on 10 March 2007
Wierd thing happened today. The 32amp MCB on a dedicated 6mm spur tripped just as I was pressing "next track" on the CD remote. The spur is supporting CD5/FC2/Nait 5i on a double unswitched socket. The wife was ironing at the time, but not on my spur. She has her own.

Hmm, I've tripped the circuit breaker when turning the amps on after being on holiday but never pressing next track.
What on earth was the next track????

These RCD/MCB jobs can be twitchy buggers. I'm in the process of getting a separate c/u spur installed, which will employ a 40amp cartridge type fuse.

We've been through this before soooo many times. Throw all your fuses away and hard wire into the power station.
