To Fraim owners

It was stated previously in this Forum that to sound the best, the level spikes should be centered in cups.
As it is not possible to check it by eye, I would like to know how you proceed to guarantee this.
Best regards.

You need an antisismic platform under you Fraim and a solid guard over it to prevent the ceilling to fall on your gears.
That's life, we are freezing, you have earthquakes.

All opinions are my own, and reflect those of the organisation i work for, even if not stipulated.

Martin,
Just used your notes as the instructions supplied with the Fraim are only average to say the least. They were very good, and assisted me no end. Thanks!
Naim - Please take note...!

I’ve had my fraim apart a few times to rearrange boxes etc. I’ve tried different tensions for the 'legs' and base spikes but never been able to hear any difference.

Graham,
The difference is distinct and repeatable. Might be a good time to have your dealer check the installation.

Maybe I’m just going deaf
I can hear a difference between CDS3 on fraim and off fraim.
I am somewhat restricted with the use of the volume control at present living in an apartment block. Maybe I will be able to hear some more of these tweaks when I move in September.

I have a long light box that hangs on two bolts 3 feet over my stereo TV gear and kept looking at it thinking it's going to come down in a quake. I finally got up there last weekend and screwed 2 L brackets to wall and top of box. Bracket is only visible when standing up and not as objectionable as I thought. Now I rest easier thinking about the next 5.0 temblor we'll get.
Our last big quake was ten years ago and was around 8.0 and the stories of heavy stuff falling and bouncing across rooms is really scary. But I won't leave LA, too much good stuff happening around here. besides rural areas get hit just as much as the LA basin.
