The Star System - How it works
Posted by: Alex S. on 08 May 2002
Write some tedious piffle and award yourself 5 stars (preferably after someone else has read it),
or
Write something quite interesting and wait for someone to give it one star.
then
Wait with almost uncontrollable anticipation for a bout of star wars which usually ends up with your beloved post three starred like a posh restaurant.
Brilliant innit!
Not.

Definitely. And on top of that, monumentally relevant.

We are using it to stop our 2 year old son from peeing in his pants or all over the floor, working a treat at the moment.

The star system is vital to toddler training.
Mine all had the pox recently and were very good about not picking the spots, apart from one child and one spot. Its on the top of her head and when picked stains the beautiful blond locks a red brown.
This is not a job for normal stars. I have purchased a very large, luminous set of ten. When all ten are in place because said blood spurting blemish has had ten days to heal (one for each non-scratching day), the toddler will receive a magnificent present, or a good slap, haven't decided which yet.

Chaps.
This thread is mindless twaddle, we have to think of naim and how they are perceived as a company.
This thread does little to further promote naim in todays markets.
I will however award it four stars.
Actually no I won't because I don't know how to.

Just in case you have most unusually misinterpreted one of my posts, my comments regarding garyi are entirely free of irony. Gary is an absolutely top fella for many reasons, the most important of which I will not divulge here since I know modesty to a trait to put alongside his generosity.
Alex
PS I know you can be relied upon to put an end to minedles twadel.

So Alex you may have no experience of this but sometimes his .. ahem ..member has a life of its own and its clearly not under the poor boys control and well do I subtract a star or just postpone it?
And the slap.. is that for when he just won't leave it ... No on second thoughts I'll just give him the football.

Don't get cross - you'll just get a wetter carpet. Ignore, and bring out the football. You can postpone the odd star but also award the odd one for glorious failure (as opposed to the abject failure of a certain football team).
