Episode III: Revenge of the Sith

Posted by: tam92 on 19 May 2005

Much to the consternation of my co-workers, I took the day off to view the latest installment of the Star Wars saga. Of the films in the most recent trilogy, Episode III is by far the best. For the visual effects alone it is worth seeing the movie.

The story is good, though some of the acting may leave a little to be desired. Overall, it is a very enjoyable film.

Just getting out of work for the day to see an afternoon movie is worth it.

I haven't seen it yet, I'll probably wait for it on free TV, and I haven't read much. Episode I and especially II were just too much to watch on the big screen; with the new digital technology, George Lucas obviously wanted to fill the whole bloody screen with action so that one never knew where to look, a severe cinematographic fault IMHO. Or I may be showing my age here, who knows.

Just about the only thing that interests me is whether I will win the bet I made after Episode II was released, that the Chancellor will turn into the Emperor.

Any comments?

Does Episode III explain the racism in I and II?

I seeing it havn't been.

Seriously who (important) gives a fuck?

I like the first starwars when I was a kid because it had space and spaceships, there was no desernable storyline so all the more better for 6 year old kids, I think little has changed

Another review headline made me chuckle. 'Wasted our time, we have'

Not seen it myself, and never a fan personally.

I've seen it n ow and am still disappointed!

The making of special edition:

Director : "Look anguished"

Director : "Look anguished again"

Director: Look at all this stuff on screen! Think of all the money we spent on this!

(That will confuse them, they will never notice all the holes in the plot)

I was greatly expecting this last episode, and i did everything i could to not get any advices, read reviews, watch ad, or find spoilers about that movie to have the most objective opinion and preserve my expectations when i'll see the movie.

Now it's done, i've seen it, and how great i'm disapointed? The whole universe of Star Wars is not big enough to fill it... Please, do yourself a favor and get yourself a new album instead of wasting your money on this hundred million dollars B class movie.

Bye.
