What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

Hi,
How does it compare to the std HDCD release?
Steve
It rocks and to answer your question it is far better IMHO.

Along with "Renegade" - "Got to give it up" is very poignant considering his sad end.
"Tell my sister I'm sinking slow
Now and again I powder my nose
In the end I lost my bottle
It smashed in a casbah
Tell my mama I'm coming home
In my youth I'm getting old
And I think its lost control
Mama I'm coming home"

It absolutely does, Haim. You can hear a lot of the hall, as well. And..... even the MUSIC is nice. Two of the pieces are on Bollanis "Smag, Smag", too. Nice comparison.
Thanks a lot for that recommendation !
Stefan
PS: Maybe I follow you with the accordion CD...
