What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

One the great live elpees and you have it on MFSL vinyl - as Mr Lake might say - Oh What A Lucky Man He Was.

Better, I hope, than the Earmark 180g pressing, which has gaps in the music (cuts out and a few seconds later comes back in exactly the place it cut out, rather than music itself missing).

It's a great album and he is a top guy. My 17-year old son, Tom, spent a whole evening with him and 50 other fans on a bus where he got to do a duet with him, go drinking, argue about Kate Nash and Pete Doherty and finally got the tube home with him and was given his mobile number!

Tom on the right, obviously...
