What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)
Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005
Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.
So, what are you listening to right now?

I'm pretty sure I can find an old woman, probably a dog too. I'm not sure about the 900 miles though.
Now, where is my box of Gitanes ?
Cheers

Oh By the Way: Box Set (14CD) [BOX SET] [ORIGINAL RECORDING REMASTERED] [SPECIAL EDITION] - Pink Floyd
Just started the cycle on disc 1 of 14... I'm moving furniture, records, cds.. Etc.. Out of my office/listening room in preparation to remove carpet and install hardwood flooring. I'm not sure how this will affect the room acoustics. I hope for the better.
Oh By the Way... the Naim will be the last item moved of couse..

I've very recently got this, following a good review in a paper. I'd never heard of Misha Alperin, but I like Anja Lechner's cello playing from a Dino Saluzzi album I've got. I don't know if this is classical or jazz, but whatever it is, it's really very good.

My first Misha Alperin too, Nigel - and i agree that it's excellent stuff. The last time I looked, Mole Records' e-Bay shop had a couple of his other CDs available for around £7 each, and I'm fairly sure that one of them also featured Anja Lechner.

I agree, it is a collection of early cassette tracks and out takes so is a pointer of things to come. It was collected together'92 and remastered in '04. An interesting look in to Steve Wilson's mind.
Howard,
Here's a current look into Steven's mind here. Steven's Playlist's is regularly updated and I havn't heard of 90% of his postings.
