What are you listening to right now? (VOL I)

Posted by: Tam on 06 June 2005

Anyway, to kick things off, I'm currently, and probably for most of the rest of this week, listening to Radio 3's Beethoven Experience. They're doing one of the piano concertos at the moment and (number 2 with Glenn Gould). Anyway, the experience thing probably needs its own thread, but, even on this cheapo radio it's proving fairly enjoyable.

So, what are you listening to right now?

Van Morrison's Blowin' Your Mind (Speakers Corner 180g vinyl - a bit bright for my liking but great music)

Followed by Led Zep Physical Graffiti (Classic Records 200g vinyl - still a bit of a mushy mix but powerhouse of an album)

I was fortunate to see Ron Carter supporting Kenny Burrell at the Blue Note in New York a few years back. Got his autograph somewhere. Top bloke, played with just about everyone who is anyone in the jazz world.

Regards

Nic,

I never had a chance to hear him live. This Blue Note disc produced by Ron Carter is very good.

Good night,
